a decorative leaf lies gently on top, this can simply be white or there is a choice of leaf designs |

the body is wrapped in a soft woollen inner cocoon and secured to the frame |
cover |
this layer is fastened down with wooden toggles, and shelters the shrouded body |
base |
a sturdy greenwood pole frame forms the stronger base for the leafshroud, it is encased in thick woollen felt: sewn in and secured |
handles |
there are six carrying handles, and also extra ones underneath at either end |

The leafshroud is made up of five layers of soft woollen felt & is designed to be used instead of a coffin for either woodland or traditional burial |
Fastenings
The wooden toggles are made of gorsewood collected from Dartmoor, worked & finished by hand. There are also fastening ties hidden inside the felt layers to ensure stability. |
